Normand received his Bachelor of pharmacy from Université de Montréal in 1982. In 1984 he received a fellowship from the Canadian government to study hospital administration at l'Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium. He spent twenty years working for Merck Frosst Canada , directing his efforts towards marketing, sales, continuing medical education, lobbying, and human resources. Normand was also treasurer of West Island Community Shares for 2 years.
During the past 2 years, Normand launched his own consulting firm specializing in sales, marketing, and networking. He also held a position on the board of directors at l'Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec for over 5 years.
One of Normand's goals has always been to help as many people as possible benefit from good pharmacy practices. His involvement with PSF-Canada is a step in this direction.
